HONOLULU (AP) - How President Barack Obama spent the fourth day of his holiday vacation in Hawaii on Tuesday:

_ GYM: Obama started his day with an early-morning workout at Marine Corps Base Hawaii in Kaneohe, near his vacation home. Other gym users said the president lifted weights, shot hoops, stretched and said hello to others there.

Kyrstin Lavelle, 10, of Toronto, was at the gym with her older brother and uncle. She got an autograph from the president. "I'm going to text my friends back home," Kyrstin said.

Kyrstin said she also gave Obama a flower, and he said he would give it to first lady Michelle Obama.

_ GOLF: After hanging out at his Kailua vacation house, Obama returned to the base to play golf _ his third round in four days and second on the base.

_ MICHELLE TRACKS SANTA: Michelle Obama spent about 30 minutes speaking with children tracking the progress of Santa Claus across the world with the North American Aerospace Defense Command.

The agency's NORAD Tracks Santa program takes calls each Christmas from children wanting to ensure their presents are on track for timely delivery. It's the fourth year the first lady has taken part in the tradition.
