ROY — A man who allegedly possessed more than 2,000 images and videos of child pornography had his bail set for $200,000 Wednesday.
Griffen Michael Gale, 34, was charged with 20 counts of sexual exploitation of a minor and booked into the Weber County Jail. Law enforcement officials were led to Gale while working undercover to investigate child pornography offenses, according to court documents. They obtained a warrant to search Gale's house on May 9.
"During the search, a laptop computer was found hidden in the garage, running and downloading child pornography," reads a probable cause affidavit filed in the 2nd District Court in Ogden Thursday.

Investigators interviewed Gale after searching the computer. He admitted to using the computer and said he was the only person searching for and downloading child pornography, according to the affidavit.
More than 2,000 images and video of child pornography were found when the computer equipment was taken to the Regional Computer Forensic Lab to be searched, according to the affidavit.
