Marc Giauque reportingIt's a sign that spring will eventually come. The forest service is putting out help wanted ads for seasonal firefighters.
It isn't easy work. Scott Bushman, of the Wasatch Cache National Forest, says it isn't for everyone. He says, "If you are a college student, or if you are working seasonally, say in the ski resorts, this is a great opportunity to have a good job, make some fairly decent money."
That depends on how active the fire season is. No one is laying odds on that this early in the year.
