MAGNA — An armed man robbed a Shell gas station near 3500 South and 7200 West at 3:23 a.m. Sunday, police said.

Police say the white man was about 6 feet tall, 145 pounds and around 25 years old. He wore a type of Halloween mask that was spray painted black, a dark-colored hoodie and latex gloves. He was carrying a handgun, which he pointed at the clerk when he demanded money from the till, according to Unified police.

The man was last seen fleeing on foot, but a white pickup truck nearby could have been involved, according to Unified Police Lt. Justin Hoyal. The truck is described as an early 2000s truck, either a GMC or Chevy, with a shell.

Hoyal said the man got away with an undisclosed amount of money.

Anyone with information about the robbery is asked to call the Unified Police Department at 801-743-7000.
