(KSL News) There has been an acid spill tonight at the Coca-Cola plant in West Valley City, located at 2269 S. 3270 West.
Crews were doing maintenance work at the plant when a pipe came loose and spilled as much as 150 gallons of sulfuric acid onto the ground. The acid is highly caustic, but fortunately no one was injured.
A recovery team is in the process of cleaning up the spill.
The production side of the plant is shut down, but the warehouse side is still open.
