Team Coverage A birthday celebration turned deadly on a West Valley road overnight. Officials say the celebration moved to the streets where two cars were racing through Salt Lake County.
An officer in Taylorsville couldn't catch up and notified sheriff's deputies. A deputy spotted the cars, chased after them, and eventually found one car had crashed near 4700 South and 4000 West.

The two people in the car were ejected. Twenty-six-year-old George Tuiasoa was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver was flown to the hospital in critical condition and may face charges.
Police say the people in the other car were friends and family. Some of them may face charges as well.
Investigators say speed and alcohol were likely involved.
