Andrew Adams reportingA gift store at the Layton Hills Mall was raided after complaints of indecency.

Officers didn't show up at Spencer's Gifts to buy. They took 15 boxes of stuff -- sexy toys, games and food. Layton police say they're responding to complaints about what's sold there.

They're investigating whether any of this stuff has been sold to kids. It's not illegal unless it has. If it has, that would put the store in violation of a state statute against selling and displaying explicit products to minors.

No one was arrested. Police are passing on the evidence they recovered to the Davis County Attorney's office for screening.
