PLEASANT GROVE — A man is facing felony charges after his estranged wife allegedly found out he still had remote access to security cameras inside her home.
A Pleasant Grove woman was having her television fixed when she asked the workers about some old security cameras her estranged husband, Aaron Ollivier, put around the house in 2008. She thought the cameras in the house had been disabled, but the workers thought differently.
After investigating the cameras on her own, the woman decided to contact local police.
Pleasant Grove Police Capt. Mike Roberts says the woman knew of four cameras, but investigators found seven cameras total that Ollivier allegedly still had remote access to through a computer or a smartphone.
Investigators stated that the woman asked Ollivier to disable the cameras years ago, but instead Ollivier had more installed while the family was on vacation before the couple separated.
Ollivier was booked in jail for felony stalking and for violating a stalking injunction.
