(KSL News) Two men accused of escaping from the Daggett County Jail have pleaded not guilty to some of the charges against them.
According to the Deseret Morning News, Danny Martin Gallegos and Juan Carlos Diaz-Arevalo are charged with carjacking, possession of a stolen firearm, and being a felon in possession of a firearm.
Both men were serving time on murder convictions last year when they escaped over a fence. They were out for more than a week before being recaptured. While on the run, prosecutors say they stole a camper and truck from a retired police officer.
They already have pleaded guilty to escape charges.
