SALT LAKE CITY — I was mentioning some of my favorite movies to a teenager in my neighborhood the other day and his blank stare and glossed over eyes made me realize he was both bored and had no idea what I was talking about.

I got thinking to myself, "I'm not that old am I?" Then I started looking at the release dates of some of the movies I grew up with and I immediately started feeling old.

As you know, misery loves company, so here are five films to make you feel old. All of these movies came out in 1993, making them 20 years old.

Groundhog Day

That's right, folks, the Bill Murray classic is 20 years old.

The funniest, and likely only, film about Groundhog Day was released on February 12, 1993. The movie is full of classic lines like, "I've been stabbed, shot, poisoned, frozen, hung, electrocuted and burned," and, "Ned? Ned Ryerson?"

Odds are, however, if you say the line, "Don't drive angry!" to anyone under 20 they'll just think you're insane.

The Sandlot

The movie we grew up with is 20 years young. The "Sandlot" opened in theaters on April 7, 1993.

That means Benny "The Jet" Rodriguez, Michael "Squints" Palledorous and Hamilton "Ham" Porter are now in their mid to late 30's.

Kids are still watching this one today, but you can remember when you were the same age as Yeah-Yeah and Smalls and you'll relate to "You're killing me Smalls" more than any other person on the planet.

Mrs. Doubtfire

On November 24, 1993 almost all of America rushed to the theater to see Robin Williams in drag. Granted, there was a bit more to the movie then that, but still, that was 20 years ago.

The comedy that had both heart and humor killed it at the box office and I remember I couldn't wait until it came out on VHS. We bought it immediately.

The movie has now become a bit of a cliché and pop culture reference, but when I was recently at a BBQ and someone tossed a strawberry to someone else I spurted out in my best English-woman accent, "It was a run by fruiting" and only about 60 percent of the attendees had any idea what I was talking about.

Jurassic Park

The Steven Spielberg adventure "Jurassic Park" is one of the most successful movies in history and it's also 20 years old.

This one is better well-known with the younger audiences than most of the other entries on the list, but that doesn't change the fact it was released on June 11, 1993.

The movie still holds up pretty well today and continues to make audiences jump, but there are a few things that don't hold up quite so well.

For example, the use of CDs and dated computer operating systems.

The Fugitive

Believe it or not, Dr. Richard Kimble did not kill his wife 20 years ago. The blockbuster "The Fugitive" was released on August 6, 1993 and that explains why when you see Harrison Ford today and wonder why he looks so old, it's because that movie isn't a few years old, it's two decades old.

The movie was exciting, fun, frustrating and tense and it still holds its own in 2013. The only problem: too many from the younger generation have never seen it. I think it's still an amazing film that everyone, regardless of age, will love. Which means, teenagers would likely hate it.

There you have it, five movies to make you feel old. What are some other flicks that you didn't realize were decades old and make you feel like you need a nap? Let us know on the comment boards, Facebook or send an email.
