SALT LAKE CITY — Kylie Bisutt's dreams came true when she won a Victoria's Secret modeling competition. But less than two years later, she decided to stop because of her personal beliefs.
For all of you that were looking for me in the Victorias Secret runway show this year, I wasn't in it. I have decided not to model lingerie
— Kylie Bisutti (@mrsbisutti) December 1, 2011
"Victoria's Secret was my absolutely biggest goal in life, and it was all I ever wanted career-wise," Bisutti told FOX411's PopTarts column.
Bisutti won the 2009 Victoria's Secret Model Search competition as a recently married 19-year-old. She went on to have a successful career in modeling lingerie but decided in December 2011 that she would stop.
"I personally feel that I am not honoring God or my husband by doing it," Bisutti wrote on her Twitter page. "My marriage is very important and with the divorce rates rising, I want to do everything I can to protect my marriage and be respectful to my husband."
Deseret News:
Bisutti says she left the industry for many other reasons, including wanting to be a positive role model for girls.
"I believe that the types of images I took when I was a lingerie model brought a lot of men into temptation and ... I don't believe in watching pornography at all. I would be heartbroken if my husband were at all addicted to porn," Bisutti said.
