(KSL News) Firefighters in South Jordan hurried to take a chilly plunge today.
It was part of their training for ice rescues, and they took turns pulling one of their colleagues from the Oquirrh Lake near the Daybreak development.
This is the Salt Lake Valley's only ice rescue team. Firefighters say they get some help with special equipment, including cold-weather immersion suits, which they say keep them "surprisingly warm."
