(KSL News) A series of crimes kept Salt Lake City police officers busy overnight.
A shooting near 800 West and 300 North sent a man to the hospital in critical condition.
Police say two men broke into a home, pepper sprayed a woman and fired two shots.
One of those shots hit a man in the back. Some friends were taking him to the hospital when they flagged down a fire truck near Main Street and North Temple. The man was taken to the hospital and went into surgery.
Police are now searching for two suspects. "We believe there may be some gang involvement," said Salt Lake City Police Detective Jeff Bedard.

In a different crime, a 19-year-old man went to the hospital after being robbed and stabbed.
Police say he was coming back from The Gateway when a man pushed him against the wall and demanded money. The suspect took about $70, stabbed the man in the chest and ran off.
