OREM, Utah (AP) -- Utah Valley State College will be home to a new regional children's theater.

Plans for The Noorda Regional Theatre Center for Children and Youth were announced today. It's being funded by a donation from the private Ray and Tye Noorda Foundation.

School officials are keeping the amount of the donation a secret, but say it's the largest single-payment gift UVSC has ever received.

The donation, which funds a perpetual endowment will build a new black-box theater and fund new faculty to teach theater and speech programs for UVSC students and the larger community.

UVSC also plans to add a new degree in children's theater.
