Paul Nelson ReportingHomeowners near City Creek are getting an unwelcome surprise. They say water is slowing seeping into their homes.

Homeowner Nola Buxton has pumps running off and on to get the water out of her home. She says they've been working since Easter.

Nola Buxton: "We were in Arizona visiting our grandchildren, and the neighbors caught it. They had been keeping an eye on it."

Water officials say there's ground water in the area, and two wet years are making the problem worse. Now, several homeowners say they're also running pumps to clear water out of their homes.

What's worse, she says the water shows no signs of stopping.

Nola Buxton: "We had the water department down and he said, 'Oh, it's just going to get worse.'"
