JUAB COUNTY — Two hikers missing in Juab County since Sunday afternoon have been located.
A search party located the hikers Monday afternoon. They said they had slid off the road and gotten stuck in the snow.
Mike Jacobson and his father, Robert Jacobson, went shed hunting Sunday near the Little Sahara sand dunes, according to Brandi Jacobson, Mike's wife. She said the two left at about 11:30 a.m. and had planned on returning to the Springville home at 5 or 6 p.m.
The last Jacobson had heard from her husband, 27, was at 3:15 p.m. Sunday, when he sent her a text message letting her know he had found a set of antlers. She called his phone at about 10 p.m., but it went straight to voicemail. Jacobson said neither she nor her mother-in-law were able to get a hold of the men until Monday afternoon.
They usually just stopped at the gas station for snacks on the way there.

Family members and friends went to Juab County Sunday night to search for the men, according to Jacobson, but had no luck. She said the men were dressed warmly, but had no supplies, considering they were planning to be gone for only a few hours.
"They usually just stopped at the gas station for snacks on the way there," she said.
Her husband goes hunting regularly, she said, and would have known to contact her if possible. "That's why I'm worried," she said.
The area the men were last known to be in, before they were found, was on the county line. The Tooele County Sheriff's Office has searched the area, but found nothing. The Juab County Sheriff Department had a search team out overnight, and deputies continued the search throughout Monday.
More information will be posted as it becomes available.
