(KSL News) The Utah doctor known as the "Candy Man" appeared in Federal Court today.
Dr. Warren Stack is accused of illegally distributing prescription drugs, which resulted in the deaths of five people.
Today he appeared before a federal judge for a detention hearing and received some pretty strict instructions.
The judge told him he's not to travel outside the country, renew a passport, carry a firearm, or practice medicine.
He was also instructed to not possess any controlled substance or narcotic drug and will have to submit to drug and alcohol testing.
His next court date is scheduled for Feb. 19.
