Marc Giauque reporting The college football bowl season kicks off tonight with Utah meeting Navy at the Poinsettia Bowl.
The U of U campus right now is like a ghost town. Just about the only ones there are employees and students from out of the country, whose version of football is much different.
Obviously there will be a lot of excitement in Utah living rooms tonight, as the game unfolds. But to some Ute fans, the bowl itself is a bit of a letdown.
"Oh yeah, it was a big letdown to go from the Fiesta Bowl, when you're in the national spotlight, to this bowl. Unless it's local radio, you don't hear anything about it," one fan said.
On the other hand, he says he knows some players, who are hyped about the game and feel they have something to prove.
By the way, the game did not sell out.
