SALT LAKE CITY — For the Wednesday's Child this week, a pair of sweet siblings are being featured. A brother and sister who long for a family to love, and who will love them.

12-year-old Zachary and 13-year-old Makayla aren't your typical sibings. They don't fight or tease one another often. In fact, it's the opposite. They love spending time together and are polite and kind.

And while they have a lot in common, they definitely have their own personalities.

"I love dancing and it's fun," Makayla said. "I like to learn new dance moves."

Makayla loves dance and spanish. Her favorite color is hot pink. She also likes to swim, and her favorite food is ice cream, especially chocolate.

Zachary on the other hand has a quite different preferences. Tator Tots are his favorite food. In school, his favorite subject is writing and he loves to read. His favorite colors are blue, green, and red, and he has a passion for animals, particularly dogs.

The two siblings are currently in the same foster home, but it hasn't always been that way. They hope adoption is in their future so that they can stay together.

"I want a family of my own who loves me and cares for me," Zachary said.

A family to have fun with and maybe even take a vacation one day. That's all they want.
