Marc Giauque ReportingIt may all be relative. In Utah we're playing about $2.70 per gallon of gas. In other parts of the country they're approaching $4.00.
It's creating a lot of rumblings about a boycott as those record profits are being released. But economists have their doubt that such a boycott would work, unless it lasted several weeks.
They say there's a fat chance of that, as do many of the motorists who've been filling their tanks today.
Later today, the Farmer's Union is set to announce plans to help farmers and ranchers in Utah hurt by high gas prices; they'll also talk about alternative fuel sources.
