(KSL News) If you're rushing to get your holiday cards and packages mailed, you're not alone. But the United States Postal Service is making it a little easier for us.
There are extended hours at about 7,000 USPS offices across the country this holiday season.
The busiest day will be next Monday, Dec. 17, with an expected 1 billion cards, letters and packages hitting the mail.
On an average day, the postal service handles 82 million cards and letters.
The following Utah Post Offices will be extending hours on Saturday, Dec 15:
- Ogden Ben Lomond (221 N. Washington Blvd.) - 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
- Ogden Main Post Office (3680 Pacific Ave.) - 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
- Ogden Mt. Ogden (1145 E. 4600 S.) - 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
- Provo Main (95 W. 100 S.) - 8:45 a.m. to 3 p.m.
- Provo East Bay (936 S. 250 E.) - 8:45 a.m. to 3 p.m.
- St. George Red Rocks (1150 E. Riverside Drive) - 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.
The following Salt Lake City Post Offices will maintain their regular scheduled extended Saturday hours:
- Foothill Station (2255 Sunnyside Ave) 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
- Murray Station (4989 State Street) 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
