(KSL News and Associated Press) Searchers say they've spotted the wreckage of a small aircraft that was missing in Iron County.

The plane was found 25 miles northwest of Cedar City. There is no information right now about whether anybody survived the crash.

Detective Sgt. Jody Edwards says he doesn't know if the pilot was the only person aboard.

Edwards says the plane was transmitting an emergency signal.

The St. George airport alerted the Iron County Sheriff's Office after the plane had not arrived there Tuesday as planned.
