SALT LAKE CITY (AP) -- The Salt Lake County Democratic Party will be holding elections to fill two seats in the Legislature on Wednesday.
The seats to be filled are House District 24, vacated by Salt Lake City Mayor-elect Ralph Becker, and Senate District 5, held by the late Ed Mayne.
There will be five names on the ballot in District 24: Trudy Henderson, Richard Goldberger, Rebecca Chavez-Houck, David Berg and Mark Swonson.
Mayne's wife, Karen, is the only candidate for the Senate District 5 seat and will be voted into office at the caucus meeting.
Elections will take place at 6 p.m. at the Salt Lake County Council Chambers.
