(KSL News) Eight Utah public and private schools are at risk for losing their accreditation.
Accreditation standards are meant to ensure students receive a quality education and that student credits are transferable.
The Deseret Morning News reports Granger, Provo, Hillcrest and Navajo Mountain high schools, as well as Meridian School in Provo, have problems with underqualified and overloaded teachers.
Three private schools lost accreditation. Those are Legacy, High Point Academy and the Ronald N. Hatch Academy.
