Can you imagine starting your own car business in the summer of 2008. That's exactly what Aaron Christensen of CarTown in Lehi did.
Even today he can't put into words how difficult those first few months were. He spent many hours each week at CarTown. His wife would bring the kids over and let them play upstairs while she and Aaron detailed cars. The news was so negative he stopped watching it altogether for two years.
Their hard work can be seen in the success of CarTown selling used cars. Aaron has access to hundreds of sources all over the country and says he can help you find any make or model. His goal is to be the kind of dealer you'd want to refer to your friends and family. His focus is on selling minivans and other cars that get great gas mileage.
Right now Aaron says the used car market is strong because people are buying again. At CarTown he makes it a point to only buy cars with clean titles that he would be willing to own himself. His customers love this and have come to rely on his open approach where he explains exactly how the deal will work. Because his overhead is so low, he usually has the best price online. Just a few weeks ago someone flew into Utah from Wyoming to buy a car at CarTown because they liked the pricing.
