(KSL News) -- Students filming at a Salt Lake County charter school caused quite a commotion today in West Valley City.
Police say a customer at a bank near East Hollywood High called 911, believing someone was trying to break into the school.
The school went into lockdown, but when officers arrived, they only found a group of students who were filming a movie for a class project.
Eric Lindsey, Exec. Director, East Hollywood High School: "It included an unplanned gun scene in their movie. They procured from some place, a rubber toy handgun, and they were using it in the filming."
School administrators believe someone saw the toy gun and suspected the worst.
When they learned the incident involved students filming at the school, the lockdown was cancelled.
