SALT LAKE CITY — From opera to pop to folk, Nathan Pacheco loves to sing, whatever the style.

The former Brigham Young University vocal student will be making a stop in Salt Lake during his self-titled album tour with Katherine Jenkins. Pacheco also recorded a PBS Special, which aired last week.

Pacheco served a LDS mission in Brazil — a place with which he has family ties — studied abroad in Italy, and can sing in French.

"I love my job because not only do I love to sing, but because I love languages, I love cultures and it lets me blend all these passions into one," he said.

Pacheco said he can't wait to be back singing in Utah, where he went to school and discovered his passion.

"I loved my experience at BYU, had an incredible time at the music program there," Pacheco said. "It was a study abroad program that I did while at BYU over in Italy that caused me to really realize that this is what I wanted to do for my career."

He hopes that Utahns will feel a connection to him and his just-released album produced by Leo-Z, which can be compared to Andrea Bocelli and Josh Groban in its crossover style.

He has worked with Yanni, who helped Pacheco enter the Voices project, allowing him to work with other singers to write, record and perform 80 concerts throughout South and North America.

"Nathan Pacheco" was recorded by Disney Pearl.
