With an eye toward Utah's Feb. 5 primary, Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama plans to open his Utah headquarters before the end of the week.
The campaign hopes a thousand volunteers show up at 900 W. and 1745 S. for the grand opening of Obama's campaign headquarters.
"We're the only Democratic campaign that has a headquarters located in Utah," Aaron Wiley said.
Wiley will be paid to run the office, but counts on volunteers to work the phones. "So far we have a lot of volunteers. I can't give you a raw number, but we have a lot of supporters here in Salt Lake City, Utah," he said.
Any plans for Obama to return to Utah? Wiley says he doesn't know.
