(KSL News) There was a meeting tonight in Tooele, in the wake of Wednesday's immigration sweep when 13 undocumented workers were arrested.
It's part of a nationwide effort to target what federal officials consider the flagrant violations of one company, called Ifco.
Tonight, community advocates met with a group of immigrants who are concerned that they and their friends and family could be next. Those who attended say they've been hesitant to even go out in public, fearing they could be deported.
Ana Lamb/Community Advocate: "They don't want to go out. They don't want to shop. They are afraid."
Word was put out that this meeting was aimed at helping wives and children of the 13 men who are now being deported. Organizers say unfortunately, none of them came to tonight's meeting.
