BEAVER, Utah (AP) -- Two people are dead after an accident in snowy conditions on Interstate 15.

The Utah Highway Patrol says a California family was traveling home from Montana around 3:15 a.m. Friday when their pickup went out of control on the slick highway. The Ford F-350 was southbound and rolled after skidding off the shoulder about 6 miles south of Beaver.

A 33-year-old woman and her 13-year-old daughter died in the accident. UHP says the mother's name was Ria Carroll and her daughter's name was Alexis Herra.

The patrol says the woman's husband and a 7-year-old girl sustained minor to moderate injuries.

The family is from Poway, Calif.
