(KSL News) There were a few Utahns who burned off some of their extra calories on this Thanksgiving Day.
This is the second annual Utah Human Race to Fight Hunger. Last year, the inaugural race had about 700 participants who raised more than $6,000 for the Utah Food Bank and LDS Humanitarian Services.
This year they were hoping for $25,000. The 5K run/walk was open to everyone.

And a run/walk in Ogden started 22 years ago with about 30 people. Now close to 1,000 people participate every year.
Sister Stephanie Mongeon says, "You know, it has become a family affair for so many families. I get calls from Montana, from California, Logan, Sandy and Provo. And the camaraderie is unbelievable."
A non-perishable food item or a cash donation was the entry fee.
