SALT LAKE CITY — As we edge closer to Election Day, we're starting to learn more about the presidential candidates — and more about their personal lives. Friday night airing on MSNBC, NBC's Political Director Chuck Todd has put together a special documentary about Mitt Romney.
Most people know about Mitt Romney as a presidential candidate, a business man, and as a governor's son, but MSNBC is taking a deeper look at his life.
In the documentary, Todd outlines the relationship of Romney with his father and says this is a key point in understanding the presidential candidate.
"It is clear that many of the lessons that Mitt Romney has learned in politics, he first learned marching in parades with his dad when his dad first ran for governor," Todd told KSL's Richard Piatt during a satellite interview. "You don't know Mitt Romney until you know and understand the relationship between he and his father."
Todd also feels that Romney's LDS faith hasn't been as big of an issue during this campaign because of the exposure when Romney ran four years ago.
That documentary, "Mitt Romney: The Making of a Candidate" will air Friday night on MSNBC from eight to 10 pm. The Romney special features an exclusive with the candidate.
