When you get to know 15-year-old Sophie, you see her sweet personality and gentle nature.
She didn't shy away from feeding a giant sea turtle or getting up close and personal with a penguin at Living Planet Aquarium. Someday she hopes to work with animals. She also is known for interacting will with young children.
Sophie is pretty and petite, but she loves sports. Hiking, skateboarding and being outdoors are just a few of her favorite activities. In fact, if she could choose the perfect day, she says it would be spent playing baseball with her new family.
Sophie isn't picky when it comes to food, but she doesn't like anything too spicy. Her favorite subject is math, and her favorite color is orange.
Sophie is attending the eighth grade and is doing well. She is currently attending counseling, which will need to continue after placement.
This fantastic teen is in need of a patient and loving home who can support her in maintaining contact with her older sister. She's been in foster care for a year and can't wait to be a part of a permanent family.
