MURRAY — A Utah driver will be cited for failing to properly secure his jet ski on a trailer Wednesday morning.

The jet ski fell off the driver's vehicle and landed right in the middle of I-15 in Murray — causing a big mess. Four cars were involved in the resulting crash, but luckily, all involved received no serious injuries.

Utah Highway Patrol Troopers believe the owner of the jet ski didn't secure it properly, and it came loose.

"It just (shows) how important it is to make sure you have your load secured tightly once you get on the highway because these types of things can happen," said Utah Highway Patrol trooper Shawn Peppers.

Failure to secure a load can lead to fines of more than $300, or misdemeanor charges.
