Police seek help identifying woman's attacker

ST. GEORGE — St. George police need help identifying a man they believe attacked a woman on a city bike path.

Investigators released a sketch that reflects the woman's description of her attacker.

Suspect Description
  • Caucasian male
  • 20-30 years old
  • 5 foot 8 inches tall with medium build
  • Brown or Hazel eyes
  • Wearing a black bandana on his head
  • Wearing a black short sleeve shirt and black pants

She told police she was jogging on the bike path headed south toward the tunnel that runs beneath Sunset Boulevard on the afternoon of May 2 when she was knocked to the ground and raped.

The victim says she escaped from the assailant and contacted a family member. The family member took the victim to Dixie Regional Medical Center for medical attention.

Police scoured the area, but couldn't find the man.
