Match play in the 114th Utah State Amateur golf tournament begins Friday morning at 9am at the Salt Lake Country Club when former University of Utah basketball player Chris Grant tees off against defending champ Jeff Evans.
Grant was one of 6 golfers involved in a playoff for the final two spots on match play.
32 players begin match play and will be paired down to the final two for a 36 hole championship match on Sunday.
