PROVO — A meeting between the BYU Cougars and the Wisconsin Badgers of the Big 10 has long been rumored, and it appears the game will happen.
Wisconsin Badgers beat writer for the Wisconsin State Journal, Tom Mulhern, has reported BYU and Wisconsin have finalized a home-and-home series, according to a source.

"BYU will play at Camp Randall Stadium in 2013," wrote Mulhern. "The source could not confirm what the return year would be, when the Badgers will travel to Provo, Utah."
Wisconsin head coach, Bret Bielema, tweeted Wednesday, "Waiting on a signature to make 2013 final, and then we should be good to go."
Neither school has confirmed the game, but Bronco Mendenhall told Greg Wrubell in January of this year that a Wisconsin and BYU series was very likely.

When asked about playing on frozen ground and how that could potentially prepare the team, Mendenhall thought about who they could schedule that would have a frozen field. A reporter mentioned Wisconsin and Mendenhall responded, "There's a good chance that could happen. So, yeah. Let's just plan on we came out here today because we might play Wisconsin."
If the rumors are true BYU would have a monster schedule for 2013. Games would include home matches with Texas, Boise State, Utah and Georgia Tech and away games with Notre Dame, Houston, Utah State, Hawaii and Wisconsin.
