(KSL News) A startled homeowner in Draper phoned authorities this morning to report an intruder in his garage.
The intruder apparently spent the night there, and even when discovered, he didn't want to leave. The authorities arrived and cased the scene. By now the garage door was wide open. He was in there all right, but he wasn't going to budge for the longest time.
Finally, the intruder made his break and bounded out of the garage.
Yes, it was a deer; a deer that seemed to be nursing a bruised leg and had just been looking for some comfort in the night.
Animal control officers gently encouraged him to leave the neighborhood and head back to the hills.
The experts we spoke with say the buck's injuries don't appear life-threatening.
