SALT LAKE CITY - The Jazz and Jeremy Evans have agreed to a three-year deal worth $5.5 million, according to David Aldridge.
The 6-9 forward from Western Kentucky was drafted by the Jazz two years ago with the 55th pick of the 2010 NBA Draft. He became a crowd favorite with his dunking ability, which he parlayed into the dunk championship last season.
In his two years with the Jazz he has played in 78 games, starting three, all in his rookie season. He averages 8.7 minutes when he gets in the game. He was the fifth big man last year and played significant minutes at small forward in one game against the Spurs due to injuries before spraining his ankle.
He was the second player drafted by the Jazz in 2010 after Gordon Hayward was selected with the ninth pick.
