(KSL News) The quick thinking of two fast-food restaurant employees may have stopped an overnight robbery.
Police say two employees of the Arctic Circle at 3400 E. Bengal Blvd. had closed the restaurant for the night and were dropping off the night deposit at a bank across the street.
Then a man with a gun in his waistband started running toward them.
Sgt. John Barker of the Salt Lake County Sheriff's Office explained, "The female [employee] said, 'Let's get out of here.' He put it in gear and drove off, leaving the would-be robber standing there with his gun in his hand. That was about the end of that."
Police contained the area quickly after the incident but weren't able to find a suspect.
