Mary Richards, KSL Newsradio A new report suggests parents might still need a lot of help paying for private school tuition, even with vouchers.

In last night's KSL TV debate, voucher supporter Richard Eyre said a private school voucher would let more families afford private school. "I love win-win situations. It's a win for parents because we get to make more choices about our kids," Eyre said.

But, the Deseret Morning News calculates even the $3,000 voucher for poor families would leave them still far shy of the average K-12 private school tuition in Utah. The paper estimates average tuition at $7,800.
