PROVO — Provo police are looking for a suspect in connection with a bank robbery Saturday morning.

Officers responded to a call at 10:13 a.m. about a bank robbery at Wells Fargo, 86 N. University Ave., said Provo Police Sgt. Mathew Siufanua. A perimeter was set up around the bank. Officers called into the bank and an employee came out and said the robber had left before authorities arrived.

The man walked in to the bank, demanded the money and received an undisclosed amount of money, Siufanua said.

He was described as between 5 feet 4 inches and 5 feet 8 inches tall, wearing a black top with a hoodie, large sunglasses and a black bandanna with white writing. The man had a black, small caliber handgun, Siufanua said. Provo police are asking anyone with information to call them at 801-852-6210.
