OREM -- Police are looking for two men who tried to rob two businesses Friday night.
The men, who were armed, attempted to rob Dedaly Photo at 590 N. State Street just before 7 p.m. The owner of the shop, Juan Olgian, said they demanded money from him and when he saw they were armed, he grabbed a garbage can to defend himself. One of the men hit him on the back of the head before taking off on foot. Olgian sustained only minor injuries.
Within minutes of the first robbery, a second armed robbery was reported at Cosmopolitan Travel on 788 W. 400 North in Orem. The description of the men matched that of those at the previous armed robbery.
Police say the alleged robbers are describes as Hispanic males in their early 20's. At the time of the attempted robberies, they were wearing black hoodies and both were armed with handguns. Anyone with information is asked to call Orem Police at 801-229-7070.
