Andrew Adams, KSL Newsradio A teenager crossing the street was hit by a car and seriously injured this morning.

Jamie Koyle looked away. "I turned my head 'cause I was like, 'She's gonna get hit,'and so she flew up in the air and landed right next to our car," she said.

Salt Lake City Police Sgt. Joe Cyr says, "The thing we cannot stress enough is for vehicles, especially ones that come along 700 East, when you see these school speed: you must watch for pedestrians."
