LOGAN, Utah (AP) - Kyisean Reed scored 21 points and Brockeith Pane and Preston Medlin added 15 apiece to lead Utah State past San Jose State 82-65 Saturday night.
Mitch Bruneel also had a career-high 15 points off the bench for the Aggies (12-10, 4-3 WAC) and Morgan Grim added 10. Utah State had five scorers in double figures for the second game in a row.
San Jose State (7-15, 0-7 WAC) was led by James Kinney with 21 points and Wil Carter with 14 points and eight rebounds.

Behind two consecutive baskets by Calvin Douglas, San Jose narrowed Utah State's lead to 59-57 with 8:37 to play. The Aggies embarked on a 13-0 run, which extended to a 15-2 run and a 74-59 lead when Medlin drained a 3-pointer with 5:30 remaining.Pane scored on two straight trips down the floor, one basket on an alley-oop pass from Medlin, for Utah State to put the game out of reach.
In the first half, the teams traded baskets until Bruneel made four consecutive 3-pointers to put Utah State ahead 29-20 with 9:16 remaining in the half. Bruneel had his career-high in points, 14, by halftime and shot 5 for 5 from the field.
Brockeith Pane was also 3 of 5 from 3-point range in the first half while San Jose was 3 of 10 as a team during the same span.
James Kinney was the Spartan's leader early in the game, hitting 6 of 8 field goal attempts to account for 14 points before halftime.
Keith Shamburger, who had been the Spartan's second-leading scorer on the season, missed the game with back troubles.
The Aggies had a season-low six turnovers.
