Randall Jeppesen, KSL Newsradio A state parole officer is in serious trouble with the law after being arrested on 14 charges of child sex abuse.
As a parole officer, the suspect was in charge of making sure others followed the law, but now he's charged with child sexual abuse, lewdness and child rape. "[We're] obviously disappointed that someone in a position of trust to the community would violate that trust like this," Pleasant Grove Police Capt. Cody Cullimore said.
Police say the crimes happened in Pleasant Grove to a 12-year-old victim, and Cullimore says it appears to have happened over a long period of time. "Only one victim at this time that we're aware of," he said.
The suspect, Travis Bud Davis, was arrested and is out on bail awaiting his time in court.
