(KSL News) The Utah Mine Commission will hold a public hearing in Huntington today.
The commission wants to hear concerns about mining safety from members of the community, and hear their opinions about the recent Crandall Canyon mine disaster.
Gov. Jon Huntsman formed the commission following a collapse at the mine that trapped and killed six men and claimed the lives of three rescuers trying to reach them.
The hearing will begin at 1 p.m. at Huntington Elementary School.
