(KSL News) -- A motorcycle rider was heading north on 1300 east when he ran into the back of a car that was making a left turn.
Police are trying to determine if the car did not see him and turned in front of him.
The rider was taken to the University of Utah hospital in extremely critical condition. He was wearing a helmet.
Police say speed could have been a factor, based on what witnesses are saying, but they are still investigating.
