Gene Kennedy Reporting Sheriff's deputies raid a suspected drug house in Kearns and ended up solving another case in the process. Also, children were caught in the middle of this drug bust.
This time around, three children were in the home. It's a place where marijuana was readily available, according to the Salt Lake County Sheriff's Office.
Family members removed the children last night and they're in state custody until all this is sorted out.

Three adults were in the home, but the only person arrested was 47-year-old Kenneth Blauer. Investigators say he's a street dealer with a criminal record. The sheriff's department received a tip that Blauer was dealing drugs. Overnight, deputies served a search warrant and found marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

Then they stumbled onto something they didn't expect to find-- massive air-conditioning units stolen from a job site in Kearns.
A sergeant on the scene remembered that about two months ago, the units were ripped off. Investigators ran serial numbers and, sure enough, they were a match! Someone will be glad to get those two units back. They're worth about 12-thousand dollars.

Meantime Blauer faces a slew of charges for stolen property, drugs, and child endangerment, since three children were in the home.
The house is right across the street from the Vietnamese Catholic Church. That will add to the severity of the charges.
