(KSL News) -- Utah law enforcement officers rallied around one of their own today.
Midvale police detective Jose Argueta is fighting esophageal cancer and mounting medical bills have taken their toll on his family.
Today police officers and firefighters from several jurisdictions held a special motorcade to raise money for Argueta. It ended at his front door.
Jose Argueta, Murray Police Officer: "The outcome is still really unknown, but I'm going to try and make the best of it and stay as positive as I can, and hopefully be back in uniform soon."
Several more fundraisers are planned for the Argueta family.
